***Special Tribute To Chris Smith, This was Rene's daughters partner and after loosing her mother on the 25/11/07 she lost her partner Chris on 18/02/08. He had a family of his own and became part of the Goudie family. He died in his sleep which is the best way to go. He had a massive stroke but we were told he would not have felt anything it was that big. He died a happy man cuddling the one he loved which was and still is Pamela.***
Died on Thursday 15th November 2007, Brians birthday. We were told that the nurses checked on you at 6.15am on the morning you died and you were fine, however when they went back to check on you again at around 7am, you had gone. You passes away peacfully in your sleep.
Nanna suffered from Pneumonia for two weeks and it just got too much for her.
It was your birthday in December and you would have been 84.
You lived a long and wonderful life, and you will be missed by us all. At last you are pain free and reunited with Grandad again.
The nurses and doctors on ward 4 at Pinderfields hosiptal did a great job of looking after you and we all thank them.
Nanna, everyone is really upset, we came to see you not long ago because it was the last time we could. Im glad i saw you on 14/11/07 because you were happy. You were telling everyone you felt better that day. But at least your at rest now.
I love you forever nanna, hope that grandad takes care of you up there.
